NORTHAMPTON — Long-serving Smith College Police Officer Bob Young was fired last week, according to his attorney, who says the firing was based on “erroneous and inaccurate information.”
Smith College operates a shared police department with Mount Holyoke and Hampshire colleges, administered by the human resources department at Mount Holyoke. Calls to Vice President for Human Resources Heidi Friedman and acting Chief Raymond LaBarre on Wednesday afternoon were not immediately returned.
