Lan T. Kantany
Lan T. Kantany, who joined the firm in 2014, has long been dedicated to helping individuals with their labor, employment, and consumer needs. While at Fitchburg State University – where Lan graduated summa cum laude – she worked at the Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts and also represented the university at the American Collegiate Moot Court Association competition on a regional and national level. She was also selected Outstanding Student in both of her majors, political science and criminal justice.
Lan continued her studies as a Public Interest Scholarship recipient at Western New England University School of Law where she graduated cum laude. At law school, Lan continued to fight for individuals and employees by working as a research assistant for a labor law arbitrator, participating in the school’s international human rights clinic, and interning at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the Connecticut Human Rights and Opportunities Commission. She was also actively involved with the law school’s public interest law association, served as a note editor for the law review, and received numerous other honors, including the prestigious National Association of Women Lawyers award.
Admitted in both Massachusetts and Connecticut, Lan represents employees in courts and at administrative agencies. She also represents union members at labor grievances, arbitrations and assists with union organization and negotiations.
